MORE than 1.5 million people sprawled across Sydney’s most scenic spots for a glimpse of New Year’s Eve 2014 fireworks displays.
The biggest and most ‘world-famous’ for Sydney were held across two schedules – the family-friendly 9pm slot and at midnight – both broadcast across multimedia platforms to Aussies at home and abroad.
This year, drones soared up to 1,000 feet above Sydney Harbour, recording high-resolution footage of the fireworks, launched from the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the Sydney Opera House and barges on the water.
A third specially-built drone equipped with six cameras captured amazing 360-degree views of the fireworks via the Sydney NYE Telstra App.
