POETRY and picnics…picnics and poetry – the two surely go together like good food and wine.
The third Sydney Bookers Poetry Picnic will be staged at the very elegant Paddington Reservoir Gardens on Saturday, December 6.
The event is the culmination of the regular readings organised throughout the year by the Sydney Poetry @2 group and will showcase the works of avid contributors.
There will also be an open-reading section and music. If you are interested in reading, be sure to arrive early to register.
The site itself is State Heritage Listed as a former reservoir supplying water to many early 19th century Sydneysiders, reincarnating in later days as a petrol station and mechanics workshop.
This free event is supported by AGNSW, Australian Poetry and the City of Sydney.
Deck-chairs supplied, but bring your own wine and picnic hamper.
Where: Paddington Reservoir Gardens, 251 Oxford Street.
When: Saturday, 6 December. From 3pm. Video: Art Nation, ABC Television[embed\]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TdvQTeVeVfc[/embed]
