HAD a hard day’s night?? Been working like a dog??
Need a night out that’ll guarantee you’ll feel fine?? …
Then, enough of the puns – get back, get back, get back to The Soda Factory for Covers for a Cause: The Beatles edition, on Wednesday, May 21.
The third in a series of quarterly fundraisers, Covers for a Cause promises an awesome evening of live music, paying homage to musical greats, all in the name of an important local charity.
This time round, The Soda Factory and its family of in-house musicians will be supporting the Surry Hills-based Oasis Youth Support Network, which provides an invaluable response to youth homelessness in the inner city.
In true Covers for a Cause style, The Soda Factory will be donating a gold coin from all food or drink items sold on the night.
Previous events have included an Amy Winehouse covers night for Headspace Youth Mental Health Research & Clinical Services, and a Fleetwood Mac tribute for Cancer Council Australia.
“It’s been a great opportunity for all of us at Soda to give to worthy causes,” explains Graham Cordery, The Soda Factory’s co-owner and founder.
“The Oasis Youth charity is located just up the road from us in Surry Hills. Being late night operators, we’re coming and going on the streets at a time that you see first-hand the impact of homelessness, and with the cool nights of winter about to hit in full force, we wanted to do our bit to help out such a worthwhile cause.”
